How to grow lotus in autumn

1. Temperature

Among the factors that need to be paid attention to in autumn maintenance, temperature can be said to be the most important. Generally speaking, the temperature in early autumn is more suitable and you don't need to pay too much attention to it. However, around November, at the end of autumn, it goes dormant. Therefore, at this time, it is necessary to ensure that the surrounding temperature is appropriate. It doesn't need to be too high, around ten degrees will be fine. But don't go below five degrees. If it is too low, you must take anti-cold measures, such as putting it in a bag to keep it warm and then uncovering it after the temperature rises.

2. Watering

In the early autumn, you can replenish water normally. However, after entering the dormant period in late autumn, the demand for water will gradually decrease. However, you cannot completely ignore watering, otherwise the water lily will easily rot. Add water appropriately to ensure that the soil is slightly moist.

3. Lighting

In autumn, it is important to ensure appropriate light exposure, especially when the temperature slowly drops. In late fall, when temperatures are very low, good light helps protect the plants from being harmed by frozen soil. Generally, just place it in a brightly lit place indoors. On sunny days with relatively high temperatures, you can also move it outside to bask in the sun.

4. Ventilation

If you stay indoors in autumn, proper ventilation is also needed. But don't let the wind be too strong. Especially when it is very cold in late autumn, do not let drafts blow on the plants.
