Before the camellia blooms, cut it with a pair of scissors and the flowers will bloom more vigorously.

Anyone who has experience in growing camellia must know that before the camellia blooms, many flower buds will grow, and these flower buds will of course slowly grow into flowers in the near future. Before camellia blooms, we need to perform a process called "bud thinning".

This method of thinning buds is a relatively common method for camellia, and the purpose is relatively simple, which is to make the camellia bloom more stylishly, with a better shape, and look more pleasing to the eye. In fact, it’s not just camellia. For other similar flowering plants, if you want to have a better plant shape, Huahua also recommends that you use the management method of bud thinning.

Then a friend asked Huahua, why does camellia need to thin out its buds? For camellia, there is a saying that "you can't catch a wolf without sacrificing a lamb". Even though there are many flower buds, if every bud blooms, those flowers will bloom in a rush, and it is very likely that there will not be enough nutrients, and the flowers that bloom will not be that beautiful.

There is another situation. If the camellia blooms too much, the roots, stems and leaves are prone to malnutrition. In order to allow the roots and stems of the camellia to grow healthily and provide better nutrients for the camellia, we need to pick off a few flower buds.

So how do you thin out the buds? In fact, it is relatively simple to thin out the buds of camellia. You can take a good look at the health of your camellia. If the camellia at home is growing well, you can leave more buds. If it is growing weakly, Huahua still recommends that you leave fewer buds.

Generally speaking, when picking camellia buds, you can choose to pick them when the buds grow to the size of soybeans. Everyone should remember that the larger the buds grow, the more nutrients they absorb, which is not conducive to the growth of the remaining buds. When picking buds, you can use scissors to directly cut off the excess buds, leaving only about one-fifth of the buds at the bottom.

The operation is relatively simple. This method is also applicable to chrysanthemums. If you want the flowers to bloom bigger and of better quality, you might as well try this method. Although there are not many flowers in bloom, what matters is that they bloom exquisitely!

Have you all learned the little trick that Huahua introduced to you today? When flower buds grow next year, you can try this little trick!
