What to do if the leaves of the fortune tree wilt

What to do if the leaves of the fortune tree wilt

1. Reduce watering

Reason: Do not water too much on a daily basis. If water accumulates, it will easily flood the roots, causing the leaves to wilt.

Solution: Take the money tree out of the pot, check the root rot, cut off the rotten roots, and replant it. If there is no problem with the roots, loosening the soil properly can also accelerate the drainage of water. Control the amount of water during daily watering, and do not water too much except in summer.

2. Lower the temperature

Reason: High temperature will cause the loss of water in the leaves of the money tree, causing them to wilt.

Solution: When the temperature is high in summer, move it to a cool place, or provide appropriate shade to avoid direct sunlight. In addition, you can spray water on the leaves to cool down through the evaporation of water. Increasing the humidity can also inhibit transpiration, killing two birds with one stone.

3. Improve ventilation

Reason: Poor ventilation will cause the oxygen content in the air to decrease, hindering the breathing of the leaves and causing them to wilt.

Solution: Place the money tree in a well-ventilated place. In addition, you can also trim it and cut off dense branches, crossed branches, and overlapping branches, which will also help to keep the air flowing smoothly inside.

4. Reduce Fertilizer

Reason: Too much fertilizer or too concentrated fertilizer will damage the roots. When the roots are damaged, the leaves will wilt.

Solution: Take the money tree out of the pot first. Wash off the soil in the pot with clean water and check for root damage. Cut away any rotten roots and replant with new soil. If the roots are not rotten, you don't need to change the soil, just dilute it with water.
