1. Time to change pots

It is not recommended to repot the iron orchid frequently. If you need to repot it, it is recommended to do it in spring. Because the temperature and climate at this time are very conducive to the recovery of the plant after repotting, it will take about a week for it to adapt to the new environment, and normal maintenance and management can be carried out in about 2 weeks.

2. Processing flower pots

It is recommended to choose a purple clay pot or other flower pot with good air permeability for repotting. The diameter should preferably be half a circle larger than the root system. When repotting, be sure to choose a new pot to prevent the pathogens from the previous use from being transmitted to the plant. It is best to soak the new pot for 36 hours before repotting.

3. Repotting Method

Stop watering two days before repotting. When repotting, first choose some flower soil with good air permeability and high nutrient content, put it into the new pot, and dig a hole in the middle. Then tap the edge of the old pot, turn it upside down, and hold the plant with your hands to separate the pot from the soil. Give the plant a slight shake again to loosen any old soil that is prone to falling off.
