How to grow chives

1. Planting time

Leeks are generally planted in spring or autumn. The temperatures in these two seasons are more suitable for its growth, especially in spring, the specific time is from March to May.

2. Planting Method

1. Prepare leek roots: Leeks can be planted directly from seeds, but they will germinate very slowly after planting. If you don’t have enough patience, you can plant them with leek roots. Go buy them or ask others for some.

2. Prepare the potting soil: prepare a flowerpot with a depth of more than 20 cm, because the roots of leeks are more developed. It does not have high soil requirements, garden soil is enough.

3. Planting in pots: When planting, directly place the roots into the pot and cover them with soil. Be careful to leave a small amount of stems outside.

4. Water enough: After planting, water it in time and water it thoroughly so that the roots and soil can get enough water, and it will grow soon. If the plant grows faster in the later stage, it can be transplanted by dividing it into pieces.
