How long to water succulents after transplanting

1. Seedling Transplantation

Succulents are generally grown by leaf cuttings. After the leaf cuttings take root, the seedlings are transplanted into the culture soil. The roots of the seedlings at this time are relatively fragile and have poor water absorption capacity, so it is easy for water to accumulate and rot. Therefore, it is not recommended to water them immediately. You can leave them for two days to allow the seedlings to grow. After two days, water them thoroughly once, slowly pouring water along the inner wall of the container until water flows out of the drainage hole at the bottom.

2. Transplantation of mature plants

Succulents do not actually have high requirements for soil nutrients, but they still need to change soil and pots after a long time. Transplantation at this time must be treated differently. After surviving, the succulent plants have relatively complete root systems and many leaves, and have a relatively large demand for water. After transplanting and filling the soil, they must be watered thoroughly to ensure that the plants have sufficient water to slow down the growth. After that, water them appropriately according to the soil conditions.

3. Watering frequency

Generally, when watering succulents, keep the soil moist. Press the culture soil with your hand or pinch a handful of soil. It feels wet, but the soil loosens up after you let go. That's just right. When potting, you can mix a little carbendazim into the soil to avoid diseases and other problems. If a novice is not sure when giving water, just give less and be sure not to allow water to accumulate.
