How long does it take for succulents to be exposed to the sun after transplanting?

1. How long can I get some sun?

After transplanting, the succulent plants are still relatively fragile and have not adapted to the growing environment in the new pot. They cannot be moved out to the sun immediately. They need to wait for 3 to 5 days before being taken out to the sun. Before that, they can be placed in a semi-shaded and ventilated place.

After succulent plants have adapted, it is best to expose them to sunlight every day. In their native environment, they will be exposed to 3 to 4 hours of sunlight a day, but if they are grown at home, 2 hours of sunlight will be enough. However, in the summer when the sunlight is more intense, they need to be shaded and not exposed directly to the scorching sun.

2. Steps of transplanting

1. Choose a flower pot with good air permeability, such as a clay pot. It is best to leave small holes at the bottom to facilitate water drainage.

2. Hold the flowerpot upside down and take the plant out of the original pot. Be gentle. If it is a large flowerpot that is difficult to handle, you will need to use a shovel to scratch the outside and take it out slowly without damaging the plant's roots.

3. Transplant the removed plant into a large pot and place it in a ventilated place. Wait for 5 to 7 days before watering it.
