Nectarine growing areaGenerally, nectarines grow in temperate regions. Nectarines can only be cultivated if the average winter temperature in the region is below 7.2℃ for more than one month and the temperature is not very high. Nectarines can be grown in most parts of my country. The south is suitable for growing early-maturing varieties, while the north is suitable for growing most varieties. Nectarines in Shandong Province of my country are more famous, and the large nectarines in Feicheng, Shandong are also delicious. Feicheng peaches are a specialty of Feicheng and one of China's famous and high-quality fruit specialties. Feicheng nectarines are loved by the public for their large fruit, tender texture, sweet juice, rich aroma and beautiful appearance. Nectarine Planting ConditionsNectarines are mainly produced in the high-altitude arid areas of the northwest, with an average annual temperature of 8°~17°C and an optimum temperature of 18°~25°C during the growing period. Usually, nectarine varieties can withstand low temperatures of -23~-25 during hibernation. Frost damage will occur below this temperature, but there are also differences between different varieties. Nectarine is a light-loving fruit tree with sufficient sunshine, large assimilation capacity, bright fruit color and excellent quality. Sweet nectarine is cultivated in places with large temperature difference between day and night, and needs 8-12 hours of light a day. When there is insufficient light, the growth of the tree is inhibited, the branches grow too long without flowers and die, the lifespan is short, the fruit color is poor, and the quality is poor. Key points of nectarine planting and management1. Soil conditions Nectarines prefer slightly acidic soil, with a pH value of 5.0-6.5 being the best. Soil growth is hindered when the pH value is less than 4.0 or greater than 8.2. Nectarines can be cultivated in slightly alkaline soil, but the salt content cannot exceed 0.28%. Fertilizers with higher nitrogen content are more likely to grow. 2. Terrain requirements Nectarines can be planted in hilly, mountainous and plain areas, but the terrain selection should be appropriate. Since sweet nectarines cannot accumulate water when growing, if it is a mountain or mountainous area, it is best to choose a sunny slope or a south slope, followed by a west slope, but the slope should not be too large, preferably below 25℃. 3. Precipitation requirements Nectarine is highly drought-resistant and has a low leaf transpiration rate, only 1-6 of that of apple. Nectarine has the lowest water requirement, with an average annual precipitation of 500-800 mm. Under this condition, the fruit can grow with a smooth surface, while waterlogging may occur in areas with abundant precipitation. |
