How to plant forget-me-not

How to plant forget-me-not

1. Choose the seed

Choosing good, high-quality seeds will increase the success rate of sowing and will germinate quickly. Use healthy, plump seeds. Avoid seeds with worm holes or those that are shriveled.

2. Seed Processing

After the seeds are selected, they must be properly processed before they can be sown. Germination treatment is the most important step. Specifically, there are three methods. You can soak the seeds in water for six hours. If conditions permit, you can also soak it in gibberellin, but only half an hour will be enough. You can also wrap the seeds in two layers of paper towels soaked in water and place them in a cool place.

3. Selecting the Matrix

The choice of substrate is also very critical. The better the soil quality, the higher the success rate. Use loose, breathable, nutritious and alkaline soil.

4. Sowing

After the seeds are processed, they can be sown into the soil. Be careful to spread it evenly and cover it with a layer of soil after spreading. Don't make it too thin, just cover the seeds. This is to protect the seeds from light, otherwise the seeds may not germinate if they come into contact with sunlight.

5. Post-maintenance

After sowing, humidity must be ensured and the soil must be kept moist at all times. Then there is the temperature. Around 25℃ is best, but don't exceed this temperature. Too high a temperature is not suitable for germination. It will sprout in about half a month.
