1. Choose Lingtang

When planting water chestnuts, choose ponds, river bends, low-lying water surfaces or the edges of lakes with a water depth of 0.3 to 4 meters, fertile silt, small waves, and gentle water flow. The depth of underwater silt should be about 20 centimeters.

2. Sowing Method

Before planting cow horn water chestnuts, fertilizer should be applied in advance. You can apply pig manure or rotted mud manure. When planting, you can first divide it into vertical rows according to the terrain of the water chestnut pond, with a row spacing of 2.8 to 3.3 meters. Insert bamboo poles at both ends of the water chestnut pond and pull ropes as marks. Use a boat to evenly scatter the water chestnuts along the ropes into the water. The water level during sowing should be controlled at 85 to 100 cm. Wait until the water chestnut seedlings grow out of the water and then slowly deepen the water level.
