How to Plant Narcissus

How to Plant Narcissus

1. Processing bulbs

Before planting, you need to process the bulbs, remove the dry skin on the surface, and expose the tender buds. At the same time, the old and dead roots at the bottom should also be trimmed. Then use a carving knife to cut an eight-shaped cut on the bulb, being careful not to damage the leaf buds. Then soak it in clean water for two days to remove the mucus, so that the leaves will grow more neatly later.

2. Prepare the container

When caring for daffodils, you should use a special container that is large at the top and small at the bottom to just hold the bulbs. However, you can also prepare a shallow flower pot, which should be slightly larger so that the bulb can be completely placed in it.

3. Put it into the container

After the bulbs are soaked and germinated, they can be placed directly in the prepared flower pots or containers. Just add water after putting it in. Be careful not to add too much water. It should be enough to cover one-third of the bulb. As long as the bottom is completely immersed in water, it will take root smoothly.

4. Post-maintenance

When growing in water, you should pay attention to changing the water every day in the early stage. In the later stage, change it every two or three days, and once a week after the flower buds grow. Also pay attention to providing light, and place it in a well-lit place. In addition, the temperature must be controlled, not too high or too low, and should be controlled between 10 and 15 degrees. It will bloom in about one and a half months.
