How to propagate daylilies

Propagation by division

Daylilies are mainly propagated by division. Propagation by division can be carried out after the leaves wither or before sprouting in early spring. The method is to dig up the roots of daylilies, cut off the old roots and numerous fibrous roots with scissors, and then divide the plants. After division, water it in time, move it into a shaded place, and keep the soil moist. Appropriate fertilizer should be applied during the growing period of daylilies. Be careful to remove weeds in the first year of division.

Seed propagation

Daylilies are suitable for sowing and propagation when breeding. If the seeds are sown immediately after collection, they will germinate in the spring of the following year. When sowing in spring, it is best if the seeds have been treated with sand in the previous autumn to promote rapid and uniform germination.

The above is the propagation method of daylilies!
