After raising so many flowers, I realized that "watering" is a big deal. Newbies should know

Many of today’s flower-growing experts must have come from this period. There is a popular saying in the flower-growing circle that “watering takes three years of hard work”, which shows that watering is very important for flower-growing.

So for general flowers, how should we water them and when is the best time to water them?

There are many kinds of flowers and plants, so the way we water them should vary according to the flower. If you have to talk about watering, Huahua will only give you a general introduction.

Generally, plant watering should be divided into four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Each season has its own characteristics, so watering should also vary according to the time. The temperature and air humidity in spring and autumn are generally similar, so the watering methods for many plants in spring and autumn are the same. In late autumn, the temperature starts to get colder and many plants will enter a dormant period, so you can gradually reduce the frequency of watering in late autumn.

Summer and winter are two relatively extreme weather seasons. Summer is hot and winter is dry and cold, so these two seasons need special treatment. In summer, the temperature is generally higher and water evaporates faster. To ensure that plants get the water they need, you need to increase the frequency of watering the plants. Determine how often to water according to different plants.

In winter, many plants enter a dormant period. At this time, we should reduce the frequency and amount of watering the plants. The temperature is cold in winter, the sunlight is not very sufficient, and the water evaporates slowly. If you water the plants too much, the water cannot evaporate in time and accumulates in the pots. The plants may be frozen to death due to the low temperature. In winter, you still need to take insulation measures and reduce watering.

After talking about the four seasons, let’s talk about the 365 days in a year. Each plant has different habits, and is affected by different factors such as seasons, air humidity, etc. Not all plants need to be watered every day. Only plants that like a humid environment can accept watering once every 1-2 days. Therefore, most plants are generally watered 2-3 times a week, or even longer. Some only need watering once a week, while others need watering once every half a month. All of this depends on the flower.

The importance of watering for plants has been mentioned at the beginning. No matter what, Huahua still hopes that everyone will love flowers while also learning more about the knowledge of flower cultivation. It will come in handy one day when you are growing flowers.
