How to propagate the seeds of Clerodendrum thomsoniae

How to propagate the seeds of Clerodendrum thomsoniae

1. Planting time

Although the sowing method will make it bloom slower, it can make the seedlings grow quite strong, which makes people feel at ease. But before planting, you need to choose a suitable planting time. Spring is the best time because the temperature and humidity at this time can promote its survival.

2. Prepare seeds

Before planting, the seeds need to be soaked in water for 12 hours, then they can be taken out and dried, which can increase the survival rate of the seeds.

3. Planting seeds

When planting, the spot sowing method is usually adopted. The seeds are evenly distributed in the soil, and the row spacing is kept at 3*5 cm. Then cover with a thin layer of soil and control the temperature between 20 and 25 degrees. After about 10 days, it will grow into seedlings.

4. Maintenance after planting

When the seedlings grow out, you can water them appropriately to keep the soil moist, and then give them a little light. After a while, the seedlings will grow 3 to 4 leaves. Then wait until the seedlings are 10 cm tall, then you can pot them. When potting, there should be 1 to 3 plants in each pot. If they are well managed in the later stage, they will basically bloom in the second year. In addition, when sowing, you can actually find a shallow pot, plant it in a scattered manner, and keep the temperature around 24 degrees. After 10 days, it will grow into seedlings. Then wait until the seedlings grow to 10 cm, you can repot and transplant it. Just like the spot sowing method, it will bloom next year.
