How to ripen durian

How to ripen durian

1. Put it together with apples

If you want durian to mature faster, you can put it together with apples. Apples are rich in ethylene, which has a ripening effect on fruits, so putting them together can speed up the ripening process.

2. Place in a cool place

Durian has high requirements for the temperature of the environment it is in and should be placed in a low temperature environment. A cool place is conducive to its maturation. After a few days, you will find that the shell will crack, which means it is ripe.

3. Seal with plastic wrap

If you are in a hurry to eat it, you can peel the durian pulp, wrap it with plastic wrap and refrigerate it in the refrigerator. This method is similar to the principle of natural ripening. Be sure to seal the plastic wrap tightly to avoid odor transfer.
