How to grow and what to pay attention to when growing peace trees

How to grow and what to pay attention to when growing peace trees

1. Light requirements

To grow peace lilies indoors, you need to provide a well-lit indoor environment, but avoid direct sunlight, especially direct sunlight at noon in summer. In summer, you should also create a shade degree of 40-50 to meet the requirements. In autumn and winter, you can increase the length of sunlight exposure.

2. Temperature requirements

The optimum temperature is between 20-30℃. Frost damage will occur if the temperature is below 5℃, and it will enter a semi-dormant state if the temperature is above 30℃ in summer. When the temperature is below 5℃ and above 30℃, it needs to be protected and kept at a suitable temperature to help it survive the adverse season.

3. Water requirements

The water requirement is relatively simple. It is relatively drought-resistant and the ideal environmental humidity is 60%. Indoor maintenance should avoid excessive watering that causes excessive water accumulation. At the same time, you should also avoid not watering thoroughly, so that the lower part has no water, which will cause root damage.

4. Soil requirements

The soil requirements are loose, fertile, rich in organic matter, acidic or neutral culture soil, and the potting needs to be repotted once every one to two years. Fertilizer can be applied once every one or two months during the growing season.

5. Notes

During the maintenance period, if yellow leaves appear, they should be removed in time and kept away from the potted plants. Disease spots will appear on the leaves and spread. Pay attention to heavy rain when maintaining outdoors in summer. If there is too much water in the pot, it will cause the plant to turn yellow, rot roots, and fall leaves.
