How to grow pearl bush in autumn

How to grow pearl bush in autumn

1. Control the temperature

It is particularly frost-resistant and remains intact at minus 25 degrees Celsius, so there is no need to worry about low temperatures in autumn. The temperature in early autumn is still very high, especially in the south, where there is the so-called "autumn fever". At this time, it should be placed in a cool place for maintenance. If the temperature is too high, you need to spray water on the ground frequently to lower the temperature.

2. Apply fertilizer appropriately

It is tolerant to barrenness and does not require the use of heavy fertilizers. A single application of thin fertilizer in late autumn is sufficient. Fertilizer can be homemade compost or bone meal. These two types of fertilizers are mild in nature and easy for plants to absorb. When making compost, you must use fermented fertilizer. If you use raw fertilizer, it will release heat in the soil and the roots of the plants will be burned.

3. Control watering

Early autumn is the rainy season. If you are maintaining the plant outdoors, you need to do a good job of drainage. When caring for it indoors, it needs to be watered once or twice a week in early autumn. Because water is consumed faster at this time, watering should be more frequent. In late autumn, it is necessary to gradually reduce watering until watering is stopped.

4. Pruning

It will slowly stop growing in the fall, which is a good time to prune it. First, it can concentrate nutrients and avoid nutrient loss; second, it can shape the plant and improve its ornamental value. When pruning, first pick off the withered flowers, then cut off all the dead branches and leaves. Finally, prune the particularly lush branches to allow side branches room to grow.
