This is how I take care of the flowers I just bought. They bloom in every pot and won’t die no matter how hard I try!

All the newly bought flowers are wilting. Why?

The flower market is equivalent to a greenhouse, which can ensure the temperature and humidity required for the growth of flowers and plants. Once they are moved home, it is like moving from a greenhouse to a desert. The temperature and humidity are greatly reduced, and the leaves will of course droop.

The flowers in the flower market look like this:

After I bought it home, it became like this in less than a day:

The environment is too different, people will not be able to adapt to the local climate, let alone flowers and plants~

So the question is, how do you make the newly bought flowers acclimate to the pot? It’s very simple, simulate the greenhouse environment!

Simulate greenhouse environment to improve acclimatization

1. Spray water to moisturize

The humidity in the greenhouse is generally high. It is best to place newly purchased flowers indoors and spray water around the plants to increase the air humidity. When the leaves wilt, you can spray water directly on the leaves!

2. Don’t rush to sunbathe

Don’t rush to expose newly bought flowers to the sun, otherwise their leaves will turn yellow and wither soon. There is no direct light in the greenhouse, only diffuse light.

The correct way to do it is: first place it in a cool and ventilated place for 3 to 5 days, and then gradually increase the light!

3. Clean up yellow and dead leaves in time

The plants have just been changed to a new environment and their resistance is weak. Once they are infected with a disease, they will easily die!

Therefore, it is necessary to clean up yellow leaves, dead leaves and fallen leaves in time to reduce the chance of disease infection from the source and save nutrients at the same time.

4. Be careful when changing pots

Don't rush to repot the flowers you bought with their original pots and soil. Repotting at this time will cause serious damage to their vitality, and they will easily die if they can't recover.

5. Less watering and no fertilization

Many people can't help but water the flowers when they see them wilt, thinking that this will make them recover quickly. They are wrong. The root system is relatively weak at this time, and improper watering will easily cause root rot. It is best to wait until the soil in the pot turns white and dry before watering. In addition, do not apply fertilizer, as it can easily cause seedling burn!

<<:  Figs are placed in a vase, and one fig tree is filled with 5 kilograms of fruits, which cannot be eaten up in 3 months!

>>:  The little thing turns into a tonic in seconds when it touches water, buds pop up, and big white roots burst the pot!
