How to propagate violets

1. Seed propagation

The seeds can be planted from August to October every year. During this period, the germination rate is extremely high and the seedlings grow very strong. Usually its seeds are very small, so you need to be careful when choosing the potting soil. Then put the seeds in and flatten them. When planting the seeds, the soil should not be too wet. Then put them in a ventilated place and adjust the temperature to 18 to 24 degrees. After about 20 days, small sprouts will emerge. Because its small buds are very weak, just put them in a warm place with scattered light and keep the soil slightly moist, and it will slowly enter a normal growth state.

2. Leaf cutting propagation

This method of propagation is very common. In June or July every year, select thick leaves and cut them off together with the petioles, with a length of about 2 to 3 cm. Once the cut is dry, you can stick it into the soil. Then keep the soil slightly moist and the temperature between 18 and 24 degrees, and it will germinate after 20 days.

3. Stem cutting propagation

This method is usually performed after the flowers have faded. Every year after its flowers fade, the soil will be turned over. At this time, you can cut off a piece of its rhizome, soak it in rooting water for 6 hours, and then plant it in a pot.
