Picking Carrots

If you want carrot potted plants to grow well, the choice of carrots is very important. We should choose fresh carrots with buds (as shown below).

In order to facilitate cultivation, we cut off the carrot tops, about 3 cm in height. Of course, if the container is deep enough, the height can be higher, because the nutrients for the leaves that grow later mainly come from the remaining part of the carrot.

Choosing the right container for carrots

In fact, any container can be made into a carrot potted plant, but in order to make it more ornamental, flower lovers are advised to choose relatively beautiful containers.

Daily maintenance tips for carrot potted plants

Now that we have discussed the selection of carrots and containers, you can freely choose how to place them. Let’s focus on daily maintenance. After placing the carrots in the container, pour about 0.5-1 cm of water into it, and then place it in a place with scattered light. Remember not to place it in the sun. You can see obvious progress in about 5 days. You should change the water every day, otherwise it will easily cause the carrots to rot, which will not look good!

Tips for growing carrots in pots

Some flower lovers may find that the leaves of the carrots they grow are very spread out and have no shape, which makes them look ugly. If you want the carrot leaves to be straight, you can use a deeper container during the early stage of hydroponics. When the leaves are almost grown, you can change to a shallower container.
