How to grow potted lilies

How to grow potted lilies

1. Change the pot in time

For potted plants, you must give them new soil and fertilizer every year to meet their growth needs. At the same time, you must change to a suitable pot according to the size of the plant when changing the soil, and turn the pot every week as it grows to prevent the plant from growing crooked.

2. Appropriate fertilization

It doesn't like fertilizer very much. Generally, you only need to add a little fertilizer when it blooms in the spring. Then when it reaches the peak growth period, you need to fertilize once every half a month and clean up the yellow leaves and dead flowers in time.

3. Reasonable watering

It is afraid of a too humid environment, so you basically don't need to water it much. Just keep the soil slightly moist. Then in the summer or growing season, you can water it more and spray water around the pot frequently to lower the temperature and increase the humidity. But don't let the soil in the pot be too wet when spraying water, otherwise its roots will rot.

4. Disease and pest prevention

Usually, you should pay more attention to its leaves to see if they are attacked by diseases and pests. If so, you can choose some medicines to spray and try to minimize the damage. At the same time, if you find infected plants, you must pull them up by the roots and destroy them, and then disinfect them with disinfectant.

5. Adequate lighting

It likes light, and if it is not given enough light, it probably will not bloom, so you should move it to a sunny place frequently so that it can enjoy the sunshine to its heart's content.

6. Suitable temperature

During its growth and flowering period, it is sufficient to maintain the temperature at around 20 degrees. Temperatures that are too low or too high will hinder its growth. Generally, the temperature is best between 10 and 25 degrees. Therefore, when the temperature is lower in winter, be sure to keep it warm to avoid frostbite.
