How to grow spider plants

(1) Temperature: It likes warmth, preferably between 20 and 24 degrees Celsius. The temperature should not exceed 30 degrees in summer. Don't let the temperature drop below five degrees in winter.

(2) Soil: The soil must have good drainage, contain a lot of nutrients, and be sandy.

(3) Moisture: It likes moisture, and the frequency of moisture varies in different seasons. Once a day in spring and autumn, twice a day in summer, once in the morning and once in the evening. Don't water too much in winter, about once every four to five days.

(4) Light: It should be appropriate. Avoid direct sunlight in spring and autumn. In summer, shade is needed, about 50 to 70 percent. More sunshine in winter.

(5) Fertilizer: Mainly needed during the growth period. Apply organic liquid fertilizer approximately every week to ten days.

2. Change the soil regularly

It is best to change the soil once a year, in March of each year. When repotting, remove some of the old soil and trim any excess roots. In addition, all dead leaves and branches should be cut off. After that, replace the soil with new one. The new soil selection has been mentioned above.

3. Reproduction method

The main methods used are cutting and sowing. For cuttings, insert five to ten centimeters of stems into the soil and they will take root in about a week. Sow in March, cover with a thin layer of soil and keep the temperature around 15 degrees. Both methods have a relatively high survival rate.
