How to prune jasmine after it blooms

How to prune jasmine after it blooms

1. Cut the remaining flowers

After jasmine blooms, some withered flowers may remain on the plant. Not only are they unsightly, but they also continuously consume nutrients from the plant, so they need to be cut off to avoid excessive consumption of nutrients.

2. Cut the top

Because jasmine branches will not grow new buds after they bloom, the tops of the branches need to be pruned, cutting off those that have bloomed to help new buds sprout.

3. Cut the leaves

Jasmine requires a lot of nutrients to bloom. After the flowers fade, its leaves can be properly pruned and the excess leaves can be cut off to reduce nutrient consumption.
