Geranium water cutting method

Geranium water cutting method

1. Preliminary preparation

(1) Material selection and processing: The first step is of course to select the material for cuttings. You need to choose a good branch from a strong, healthy plant. When cutting it, be careful not to damage the heel. The original meaning of "heel" is "heel". When placed on a branch, it refers to the round part where the side branches connect to the main trunk. Don't get it hurt.

(2) Water choice: You can use tap water, but it needs to be left to stand for a while, or exposed to sunlight for a while before use.

(3) Choice of media: There are many media to choose from, and all of them have good effects, such as perlite, vermiculite, etc.

2. Take cuttings

First, prepare a piece of foam and make a small hole in the middle. Then, insert the selected branch into the central hole and then into the water in the container. By doing this, the buoyancy of the foam is utilized to allow the branches to stand in the water.

3. Post-management

After cuttings are taken, they must be placed in a cool place. Be careful not to expose the temperature to too high a temperature or too strong light. Keep it moist, and after about a month, the branches will take root. After rooting, you can resume normal care and keep the temperature warm. There can be appropriate scattered light exposure. During this period, pay attention to changing the water and do not let the water quality become too bad.
