What fertilizer to use for rapeseed

When planting rapeseed, fertilizer should be applied in a concentrated manner to reduce nitrogen loss, ensure nitrogen supply in the later stage, promote root growth and material accumulation after flowering, and thus increase rapeseed yield and nitrogen fertilizer utilization rate.

Spraying boron fertilizer has little effect on plant height and the number of effective branches, but it has a significant effect on the growth of main inflorescence and siliques. If you want a high rapeseed yield, a long inflorescence means more siliques, large siliques, more grains in each silique, and full grains, which means a high yield, so you need to spray boron fertilizer.

How to fertilize rapeseed

Attention should be paid to the application of base fertilizer for rapeseed, with organic fertilizer as the main and chemical fertilizer as the supplementary. 2000 kg of organic fertilizer, 0.5-1 kg of boron fertilizer, and 25-30 kg of 45% general compound fertilizer should be applied per mu. Combined with plowing and land preparation, compound fertilizer, organic fertilizer and boron fertilizer should be deeply applied.

Spring fertilization

Spraying foliar fertilizer on rapeseed in spring is an important way to increase production. The reason is that if soil topdressing is carried out at this time, it will not only consume time but also affect soil compaction. Therefore, it is better to spray foliar fertilizer on rapeseed.

Winter fertilization

In the winter from the end of December to mid-January of the following year, rapeseed is mainly fertilized with organic fertilizer. For rapeseed that is growing vigorously, fertilizer should be applied early and mainly by foliar spraying to help increase its yield.

Key points for fertilizing rapeseed

1. Rapeseed has a large demand for nitrogen and potassium, and is sensitive to boron and phosphorus deficiencies. When applying fertilizer, you should also distinguish between varieties and flexibly control the amount of fertilizer. Moreover, the amount of fertilizer used is different at different growth stages.

2. The nutritional growth of rapeseed requires sufficient sunlight to produce and accumulate nutrients and supply the needs of various organs. After fertilization, the plants need to be given sufficient sunlight to accelerate the differentiation of flower buds, flowering, and good angle formation.
