After being away from home for a month, the flowers are so lush that I can squeeze out water, all thanks to this big oil barrel!

Big oil barrels buried in the ground

1. Drill 5-6 small holes in the bottom of the plastic bucket. Don’t make them too big, just drill through them. Huahua uses a small electric drill here, you can also use scissors and other tools, pay attention to safety~

2. Dig a hole near the flower, but be careful not to get too close as this may damage the roots. Place the plastic bucket in the pit, and the depth of the pit should be the same as the height of the plastic bucket.

3. Bury the oil barrel and pour water into it from the bottle mouth. This will automatically supply water to the roots of the flowers. You don't need to worry about it for ten days or half a month.

The above method may be more suitable for ground-planted flowers. What are some good unmanned watering methods for our potted flowers? Let’s take a look~

Oil drums made into water storage flower pots

1. Clean the used oil drums at home. Huahua has a very convenient way to clean it: find two pieces of toilet paper and pour detergent on them.

Put toilet paper in the oil barrel and add water~

Just shake it vigorously for half a minute and rinse it twice with clean water. This way you can wash it clean in one go without much effort!

2. Prepare to cut the cleaned oil barrel into two halves and poke 1-3 small holes on the lid of the oil barrel.

3. Screw on the oil drum cover, put soil on the upper half, and then put it on the lower half of the oil drum.

4. Plant flowers. If you need to go far away, you can pour water into the lower half of the oil barrel. When the flowers are thirsty and the soil is dry, they will automatically absorb water from the bottom.

If you are worried, you can put a shoelace on the oil drum cover to make it more conductive to water!

Even if you don't go out, you can keep the flowers that like to drink water at home in this way, and you don't have to worry about watering~

The vegetables grown in flower pots stored in oil drums are also growing very well. Although they don’t look very beautiful, as a flower lover who is growing more and more flowers, I don’t mind it at all!

Plastic bottle as hanging bottle

Flower lovers who are going out for 1-2 weeks can use a mineral water bottle to make a small hanging bottle. Just poke 2 or 3 small holes at the bottom of the bottle and hang it above the flowers. Huahua reminds you that it is best to put a large pot holder under the flower pot. Even if you don’t drip accurately, it will drip into the pot holder.

A talented flower lover made a swing vase for the flowers at home, which looks pretty good. The flowers you have worked so hard to grow, no matter how ugly they are, you can't let them die.

If it is difficult to hang it up, place it next to the flower pot and use a shoelace to guide the water.

At this time, please note that the water level in the plastic bottle must be higher than the position of the flower pot, which is conducive to guiding the water down. The shoelaces below only need to be placed on the soil surface of the flower pot.

Insert a water-storage "needle" into the flowerpot

1. Poke a hole in the cap of the mineral water bottle. Don't poke it too big, just enough for water to drip out.

2. Use tape to tie two chopsticks to the mineral water bottle:

3. Unscrew the bottle cap, fill it with water, then tighten the bottle cap and insert it upside down on the edge of the flowerpot. Be careful not to insert it into the roots of the flowers. In this way, a water storage needle is ready!

Of course, if you have more suitable things at home, you can use them, such as plastic straws.
