The reason why the stem of the money tree shriveled, can the stem wrinkles be restored?

The reason why the stem of the money tree shriveled, can the stem wrinkles be restored?

1. Too much watering

The money tree is very drought-tolerant and does not need to be watered frequently. If you water too much, it will affect the breathing of the roots and is not conducive to the absorption of water and nutrients, which will cause the stems to shrivele. Usually during the growing season, watering once every half a month is enough. If the climate is dry, the watering cycle can be shortened appropriately, but the soil must be kept dry.

2. Plants are frozen

The money tree originally grows in eastern Africa. It prefers a warm environment and has poor resistance to cold. If the temperature is below 5℃, the plants will be frozen and the stems will shrive. Normally the temperature should be kept between 20-32℃. If the temperature is below 10℃, it is necessary to keep warm and put a bag on the upper part of the plant.

3. Root rot

If the roots of the money tree rot, its ability to absorb water and fertilizer will weaken, which will also cause the stems to become shriveled. When you find root rot, be sure to remove the plant from the pot immediately, cut off the rotten parts with sterilized scissors, and spray carbendazim for disinfection. Usually, you should pay attention to controlling the amount of water and fertilizer, and maintain good ventilation to prevent root rot.

4. Soil compaction

Money tree likes loose and fertile soil. If the soil in the pot is not changed for a long time, the soil will become compacted, which will affect the breathing of the roots and is not conducive to the penetration of water. In this case, it is necessary to repot the plant in time. After removing the plant from the pot, replant it in sandy loam. You can loosen the soil regularly to increase its air permeability.
