Can aloe leaves survive by being planted?

Can aloe leaves survive by being planted?

1. Can be plugged in

Aloe vera leaves can be planted alive. However, the chances of it growing roots are relatively low. Because its leaves contain a lot of water, if it is propagated by leaf cuttings, it is likely to rot before it grows roots. Only by taking the correct approach can the chance of it taking root be increased.

2. Correct method

(1) Choose leaves that are sturdy and about eight centimeters long. Weak aloe vera is not easy to survive.

(2) After selecting the leaves, prepare a sharp knife. It can only be used after disinfection, otherwise the leaves will easily be infected with toxic bacteria. Be careful to cut at an angle and control the angle well.

(3) After cutting, do not insert it into the soil immediately. First, place them in a ventilated, cool place to dry for about two weeks. During this period, pay attention to anti-bacteria, otherwise it will easily rot. You can use some antibacterial substances, such as cinnamon powder.

(4) Also pay attention to the choice of container. Aloe vera does not like stagnant water, so drainage must be good. There should be drainage holes at the bottom, and they should be sufficient and large enough.

(5) Select soil that is specifically targeted to your application. You can also prepare it yourself without adding some fine sand. Add some broken tiles to the bottom of the pot.

(6) Insert the leaves into the soil with the root facing downwards, about one third of the way up.

(7) After insertion, place it in a well-ventilated and well-lit place. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged.
