Palm Tree Growth IntroductionPalm trees are suitable for growing in well-drained, moist and fertile neutral, calcareous or slightly acidic soils. They are tolerant to light salinity and alkali, as well as certain drought and waterlogging. They are mainly distributed in provinces and regions south of the Yangtze River, can be cultivated north of the Yangtze River, and are also distributed in Japan. Palm tree growth cycleThe flowering period of palm trees is from May to June, and the fruiting period is from July to September. They like light, are extremely cold-resistant, slightly shade-tolerant, and have strong resistance to toxic gases such as sulfur dioxide, hydrogen fluoride, and smoke. Palm tree growth rateThe growth and development of palm trees can be divided into six stages, namely the emergence stage, seedling stage, juvenile stage, initial production stage, peak production stage and aging stage. It grows slowly in the early stage, with the seedling height being only 3 cm that year. It will be left in the bed the following year. It will take at least 7 years to use it for greening. Palm Tree Growth Cycle ManagementPalm trees are usually planted by broadcasting or spot sowing, with 3,000 to 6,000 trees required per hectare. They can be put into production in about 12 years, and after production, 750 to 3,000 kilograms of palm flakes can be harvested per hectare. Temperature management : The temperature for palm tree cultivation can be controlled at around 22-30℃, not lower than 15℃ and not higher than 35℃, otherwise it will easily grow poorly. Fertilization management : The location for the palm tree nursery needs to be chosen near a water source. Generally, 8-10 dan of decomposed human manure and 20 kg of superphosphate are applied per square meter. After transplanting, fertilizer is needed every 2-3 years. |
