How to grow a large pumpkin

1. Land preparation

Large pumpkins should be planted in sandy soil. Before planting, the land should be prepared and ridges should be made. The width should be about 4 meters. The length can be determined according to the length of the plant, and some base fertilizer should be applied appropriately.

2. Hormone treatment

Before sowing, the seeds should be soaked in 20ppm ABT4 yield-increasing agent for about 4 hours. This can promote better germination and growth of the seeds. After soaking, wash them with water to accelerate germination.

3. Sowing

It is best to sow after Grain Rain in the north and around Qingming Festival in the south. After sowing, seal the seeds with fine moist soil and check frequently to prevent burns to the seedlings.

IV. Management

It mainly produces fruits on the main vine, without leaving root fruits. 1-2 fruits are left two meters away from the root, or at the position of 10-12 pairs of leaves.
