How to Make Your Own Clivia Soil

How to Make Your Own Clivia Soil

1. Formulation requirements

Clivia needs fertile and loose soil, and it also needs to contain a lot of organic matter to ensure that it has sufficient nutrients, so homemade flower soil must meet these requirements.

2. Raw materials

1. Leaf mold: As long as the broad-leaved tree leaves are well decomposed, they can be used to prepare flower soil, but the best among them is oak leaves.

2. River sand: River sand needs to be washed with water. It is best to use it to prepare soil, especially in summer, it can lower the temperature of the potting soil.

3. Slag: The slag burned at a very high temperature is the best. Cut it into the size of an index fingernail and then clean it with water. It is more suitable to use it in winter as it can maintain the temperature and also retain water and fertilizer.

4. Horse manure soil: This must first be fermented, then screened, and the appropriate particles must be taken out for use. It is generally used as basic fertilizer.

5. Peat soil: It generally comes in two shapes, one is granular and the other is powdery. The granular form is the best.

6. Larch needles: can be used alone or in combination with other humus.

3. Nutritional soil formula

1. You can use eight parts of leaf mold and two parts of river sand.

2. Use seven parts horse manure soil and three parts river sand.

3. Five parts horse manure, three parts river sand, and two parts slag.

4. Four parts broadleaf soil, three parts slag and three parts pine needles.

5. Five parts broadleaf soil, three parts pine needles and two parts river sand.
