How to grow hydroponic green radish beautifully

Choose the right hydroponic object

Hydroponic branches and leaves

It is important to choose good materials when hydroponically growing plants. You should choose healthy and strong branches and stems with aerial roots. Such branches and stems can quickly adapt to the water environment when placed in clean water and can grow aquatic roots in 10 days. Be careful not to have any leaves on the part placed in the water, otherwise it will affect the water quality.

Whole plant hydroponics

Choose a potted plant with good growth potential. After separating the plant from the potting soil, wash the soil off the roots, remembering not to damage the rhizomes. Cut off the extra old roots and place it directly in clean water, and it will easily survive.

Pay attention to the time of water change

Change the water frequently in the first few days of hydroponics, every two or three days. The water temperature should be close to room temperature. After the roots grow in hydroponics, the frequency of water changes should be reduced to once a week. After new leaves grow, change them every 10 days and spray nutrient solution on the leaves in time to make the leaves green and shiny.

Clean the roots frequently

The root system of hydroponic green radish is very important. Remember to clean and repair it regularly. If the roots are too long, they should be shortened in time to reduce nutrient loss.

If the root system rots, it should be cleaned in time, the rotten roots should be removed, and disinfected with potassium permanganate solution before resuming maintenance. The roots need more care after disinfection, and the water should be changed every two days. After recovery, the water change can be reduced.

Supplement light at the right time

Hydroponic green radish needs to receive sufficient scattered light to grow healthily. Usually place it in a place with enough diffuse light to ensure that it receives several hours of light every ten days, so as to ensure that the leaves are emerald green and shiny.

Proper watering and pruning

Green radish likes a humid environment. When the air is dry, spray water on the leaves frequently to increase the humidity and clean the leaves. In winter, be careful to stay away from heating, prevent freezing, and ensure that the temperature difference is not too large.

Hydroponic green radish needs to be pruned frequently, and those that are too long or too dense need to be pruned to maintain a sparse and orderly appearance.
