Dendrobium

Dendrobium is also called the resurrection grass. I don't know if it is the magic grass that White Snake stole for Xu Xian in the Legend of the White Snake, but it is indeed a medicinal herb. Not only that, its stems and flowers are also the specialty of many regions. The stems can be used to make soup, which can nourish the stomach and clear away internal heat. Dendrobium flowers can be fried with eggs, which are delicious and healthy.

This useful Dendrobium has another name called immortal. It can be planted with just a few pieces of bark or wood. If you don’t believe me, Huahua will teach you step by step!

1. Prepare materials

You can find some large bark or wood, or the broken wood boards left over from home renovations. First, expose the wood to the sun for a few days or soak it in a carbendazim solution for 20 minutes to sterilize it.

2. Tie up the Dendrobium

Let the disinfected wood dry, then soak it again, tie the dendrobium branches to the wood, you can use cotton thread, plastic rope, or iron wire

3. Be a lazy watering bottle

Dendrobium likes moisture, so it is best to make a lazy watering bottle next to it. All you need is a plastic bottle, put water in it, add a long shoelace, and place the shoelace head on the wooden board. Remember that the plastic bottle should be above the wooden board so that water can be introduced.

4. Daily maintenance of Dendrobium

Dendrobium can now be grown in both the north and south, but it is best placed indoors with heating in the north during winter. Usually avoid direct sunlight and spray water to keep moisturized

In addition to using bark and wood as mentioned above, tree stumps can also be used. There is no need to dig, just tie the Dendrobium to it, and make sure the roots are close to the wood. The wooden stump can be placed directly in a basin of water, which saves you from watering.

If the temperature and humidity are good, the dendrobium can bloom from May to September. The flowering period is very long and it is edible. With so many flowers, planting one is enough for a dish.

Air Plants

Many flower lovers look down upon the air plant, which can survive as long as there is air. In fact, it is very beautiful. Just put a piece of wood and its temperament will be instantly improved!

1. Tie to a branch

You can pick up some sturdy branches, clean them, and fix the air plants on them with wire. Doesn’t it look much better than flower pots? And it is well ventilated. I am impressed by your ability to keep the baby alive.

It can also be placed at home as a decoration, which is more artistic than a work of art.

2. Wire rack

If you have a lot of air plants and they look a bit messy, you can use wire to twist them into a spiral funnel and then grow them together.

3. Daily maintenance of air plants

Generally, spray water once every 5-7 days. It is best to develop a habit. Do not spray water on rainy days. It is best to spray water in the evening. The temperature is high now, so spray water around 7 to 9 pm.
