How to raise a dragon

How to raise a dragon

1. Breeding environment

(1) Soil: The main requirements are good drainage and high nutrition. You can choose to mix marl soil, volcanic rock and perlite, with each accounting for one-third of the volume.

(2) Temperature: The normal temperature is between 15 and 30 degrees, which is most conducive to its growth. In winter, the temperature needs to be above seven degrees to ensure a safe winter.

(3) Light: The dragonfly particularly likes light, and it must be exposed to five to six hours of light every day. But the more the better is not the case, too much will lead to excessive growth.

(4) Watering: Ensure sufficient water during the growing season. Watering is most frequent in summer, about once a week. When the weather is slightly cooler, wait until the soil is dry before watering. Stop watering in winter. It is best to use rainwater or cold boiled water.

2. Breeding method

The main method used is to facilitate seed propagation. Peel the collected ripe seeds and then wash them clean. Then soak it in warm water for about ten hours. The next day, spread them in the pot and evenly sprinkle with fine sand to cover them. Ensure that the surrounding conditions are suitable and it will germinate in about half a month.

3. Pest and disease control

If diseases such as anthracnose are discovered, the diseased parts should be cut off and then sprayed with pesticides. There are many insect pests, such as scale insects. To deal with them, if there are few of them, you can use a toothbrush, bamboo sticks, etc. to pick them off. If there are many of them, you can use pesticides to kill their larvae and eggs.
