How to grow lotus

1. Breeding environment

(1) Water quality: Water quality has a great impact on plant growth. Water with too high iron content cannot be used. You can choose river water, lake water, well water, etc.

(2) Light: It likes light very much and needs to be provided with a full light environment, especially during the growth period.

(3) Temperature: The best temperature during the growth period is between 22 and 32 degrees. It is not very resistant to low temperatures, so be careful in winter.

(4) Soil: The most important requirement is that the soil must be rich in humus and fertile.

(5) Ventilation: The plants prefer an environment with good air circulation, and plants grown outdoors prefer breezes.

2. Container and water depth

First, choose a suitable container based on the specific size of the plant. Another requirement is water retention and durability. Also pay attention to the depth of pouring water. When first planting, the depth should not be too large, three to five centimeters is enough. As the plant grows slowly, the water depth can be controlled at about ten centimeters. In autumn and winter, the plants will enter a dormant period, so there is no need to add water frequently.

3. Reproduction method

(1) Seed propagation: Grind the seed coat and then soak the seeds for seedling cultivation. Ensure good water quality and change the water frequently. The temperature is around fifteen degrees. It will take about a week for the seeds to sprout. It will take root after two weeks and can be transplanted at this time. Be careful not to make the water too deep and do not immerse the leaves in water.

(2) Underground stem propagation: Prepare ten centimeters thick silt and bury the rhizomes. After that, place it in the sun and add a small amount of water. Once the sprouts grow out, you can add water, about three to five centimeters.
