Fennel planting timeFennel is cultivated in the spring open field in February and March. Seeding and seedling raising are carried out in greenhouses or small plastic arch sheds. The water broadcasting method is adopted, that is, the seedling bed is first watered thoroughly, and then the seeds are evenly sown and covered with fine soil about 1 cm. The sowing amount per mu is 2 to 3 kg. In summer, fennel is sown directly in the open field from July to August. If sown in high temperature seasons, the seeds are difficult to germinate and need to be soaked at low temperature to accelerate germination. The seeds can be soaked in cold water for 24 hours, the mucus is washed off, and the seeds are placed at 15℃~20℃ for germination. After the radicle is exposed, the seeds should be sown in time. Fennel is sown directly in a greenhouse or shed in autumn from October to November. Choose fertile and loose land as the seedbed. The drainage and irrigation should be convenient. Apply 2 to 3 kg of decomposed organic fertilizer, 0.05 kg of potassium sulfate, and 0.02 to 0.3 kg of superphosphate per square meter of the seedbed. Apply the fertilizer evenly into the soil. Fennel can be planted in greenhouses or sheds from October to November. For protected cultivation of fennel in winter, it is advisable to make small high ridges with a ridge spacing of 1 meter and cover them with plastic film to prevent water accumulation in the field or increase the ground temperature. How to grow fennel1. Sowing method: Fennel can be planted by row sowing or broadcast sowing. Fennel leaves are small in area and are very suitable for dense planting. The amount per mu is about 3 to 5 kilograms. 2. Select the plot of land: Before planting fennel, you must choose a suitable plot of land. The plot should be flat and easy to drain and irrigate. Before planting, turn the land, break up the soil, and apply 3,000 kg of decomposed farmyard manure per mu. After leveling the surface, make a flat bed with a width of 1.2 to 1.4 meters. 3. Sowing and germination: It is best to soak the seeds for germination before sowing fennel. You can soak the seeds for 24 hours, clean the surface material, and then put them in a well-ventilated place to dry, then put them in a clay pot, cover them with a wet cloth and germinate them at 16-23 degrees. Water the bottom before sowing, and cover them with 2 cm of soil after evenly sowing. 4. Field management: After fennel germinates, it grows slowly and more weeds will appear in the field. Weeding is necessary at this time. Water the plants when the soil is dry during the seedling stage. When the plants grow to 10 cm, water them frequently and apply thin fertilizers. When the plants grow to about 30 cm in height, they can be harvested. |
