How to grow a fortune tree

How to grow a fortune tree

1. Lighting

It likes sunlight and does not like a very dark and humid environment, so it should be placed where the sun can shine. And there are also techniques to placing leaves. Usually, the leaves should be placed facing the sun to avoid twisting and allow each leaf to be stretched. But also avoid excessive exposure to the sun, which will cause it to wither and die.

2. Watering

Too little water will stop it from growing, while too much water will cause water accumulation, which will lead to root rot, so be sure to water it regularly and in a fixed amount. Basically, watering should be done once a day. In winter, the interval is five to seven days. In addition to normal watering, you should sprinkle water on the leaves every three to five days. It is better to use a spray bottle. Watering is indispensable, which can make the leaves grow more beautiful.

3. Fertilization

This is a fertilizer-loving plant, so you must apply fertilizer when growing it. Repotting should be done once a year, and when doing so, one-third of the soil should be fertile soil. Fertilizer soil can be made from collected humus soil, which can be mixed with ordinary soil and bean cake residue. This kind of soil is very beneficial to it. There are also requirements for fertilizer. It must be fully decomposed, otherwise the leaves will be burned. Fertilize twice a month during its growing season. Phosphorus fertilizer and potassium fertilizer should be used in a balanced manner to ensure its healthy growth.

4. Temperature and humidity

To keep it well, you must pay attention to temperature and humidity. It prefers a warm environment, and of course it also needs to be kept moist. If the temperature is low or extremely dry, the leaves will turn yellow and fall off, which is extremely unsightly and can easily cause the death of the money tree. The best place for it to stay is above 15 degrees, so be sure to meet this requirement.
