What to do if the leaves of Ficus microcarpa turn black

What to do if the leaves of Ficus microcarpa turn black

1. Watering

This plant grown indoors does not need to be watered frequently because it does not particularly like water. Generally speaking, it should be watered more when the temperature is higher so that the soil will not be too dry. Of course, the amount of water must be controlled, otherwise the accumulation of water will cause black spots to grow on the leaves.

So once we find that the reason is due to excessive moisture, we need to evaporate the water, generally by placing it in a ventilated place, so that the water will be lost much faster.

In addition, we must also be careful not to sprinkle water on its leaves, otherwise the leaves will still turn black. Of course, if we let it stay in an environment with strong winds, we don’t have to worry, because the moisture will be lost more easily and it won’t have a big impact.

2. Water quality

It needs soft water. We cannot water it with tap water at will, because the things contained in it are not good for its growth and can easily make the leaves turn black. Therefore, we should water it with water that has been exposed to the sun for two or three days. In addition, we can also leave it alone for a few days, so that there will be no problem with the water.

3. Temperature

It needs a warm environment, so we still have to protect it from the cold in winter, because if the temperature is relatively low it will have problems growing. So we still have to keep its temperature above 5 degrees.

4. Lighting

It needs light, and although it can be grown in a cooler location, it will disrupt its growth process. But we can't give it too strong light, the leaves will turn black, and it may even cause it to fall over and wilt.

5. Drying

We cannot leave it in a particularly dry place, otherwise its leaves may turn black, so we can spray some water into the air, this way it will be better, the leaves will not turn black, and if they are black, they will get better.
