Hole fertilization

Hole fertilization is a very simple method of fertilization. The general steps are to dig a hole in the pot and bury the solid fertilizer. How to do it specifically? Huahua takes Clivia as an example to talk about how experienced flower farmers do it!

1. Cook the soybeans

Grab a handful of soybeans and soak them in water for 2-3 hours. When the soybean skin becomes wrinkled, put them in a pot and cook them.

2. Dig a small hole beside the basin

Dig 2-3 small holes on the edge of the Clivia pot, making sure to keep them away from the roots of the Clivia. Put 3-4 soybeans in each hole and cover them with soil. Generally, it is enough to bury soybeans once every 1-2 months.

3. Clivia is growing fast

After the cooked soybeans are buried in the soil, they will slowly release nitrogen and other nutrients, which the Clivia can absorb and grow greener and fatter.

Liquid Fertilizer

Liquid fertilizer is also very convenient to use, especially organic liquid fertilizer. Not only is it pollution-free, it can also make flowers grow faster and healthier. Huahua will take gardenia as an example to talk about how to use organic liquid fertilizer!

1. Don’t throw away the rice washing water

Rice water is rich in nutrients. Don’t throw it away. Collect it and use it to grow flowers, saving you money on fertilizer!

2. Put rice water in a mineral water bottle

Find a mineral water bottle, rinse the inside of the bottle clean to remove any dirt, then pour in the rice washing water, about 80% full, add a few slices of orange peel, cover the bottle with a cap, and place it in direct sunlight.

3. Fermentation is good after half a month

During the fermentation period, unscrew the bottle cap to let some air in every 2 days, wait for 1 minute and then close it again. This is to allow the gas produced during fermentation to escape and prevent the bottle from exploding due to excessive gas. After about 2 weeks, the rice water will smell sour and is fermented.

4. Dilute and water the gardenia

Don’t use the fermented rice water directly to water the flowers. It must be diluted before watering the flowers. Add 100 times the amount of clean water, stir evenly, and then you can water the gardenia flowers. This will make the leaves of the gardenia become green and the flowers bloom all over the branches!

Mixed Fertilization

Mixed fertilization means mixing both soil and fertilizer together. It is usually used when repotting flowers in spring. Huahua takes the green ivy as an example to talk about the use of mixed fertilizers!

1. Collect Chinese medicine residue

If someone in your family takes Chinese medicine, the leftover residue can be used to grow flowers. It is definitely not worse than the fertilizer you buy with money!

2. Mixing of Chinese medicine residue and soil

Mix the Chinese medicine residue with garden soil, put it in a pot, pour in some water, cover it with a layer of plastic film, put it in the sun, and after 2-3 months, the Chinese medicine residue will be fermented.

3. Make base fertilizer when changing pots

When repotting the green radish, you can put fermented Chinese medicinal soil at the bottom of the pot as base fertilizer, which can provide nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium elements to the green radish, allowing it to grow rapidly.

3 methods of fertilization,

They are commonly used by old flower farmers.
