Management methods for bougainvillea flowering period

Management methods for bougainvillea flowering period

1. Early management of long flowering

1. It likes warm and watery areas, is not very resistant to severe cold, and likes sufficient light. In the south, it usually blooms in winter and spring. In the north, if it is cultivated in a greenhouse, it usually blooms from March to July.

2. You can start water control management in mid-August. After about a month, it will grow flowers in mid-September. If you want it to bloom again during the National Day, you need to resume watering and fertilizing it in mid-September.

3. In mid-October, resume normal watering and fertilize it generously. When flower buds appear, sprinkle a little paclobutrazol on it. This agent can help its flower buds grow more and better. The inflorescence will not grow too long, and the flowers will be more beautiful and dense.

4. The number of flower buds will also affect the density of flowers. If you want to promote its differentiation, you cannot let the leaves fall, but let the leaves droop for half a day every day, and let it continue for about a month. During this period, the color of the leaves may turn white, but as long as the healthy leaves do not fall off, there is no need to worry.

2. Mid-term management of long flowering

If you want it to bloom vigorously, in addition to maintenance before flowering, management during flowering is also very important.

1. A large amount of fertilizer needs to be applied from the beginning of the flowers to the full bloom. Because it has many flowers, if all of them are to bloom, it will definitely need a lot of fertilizer. Only with sufficient water and fertilizer can the flowers bloom lushly, become more and more brightly, and the flowering period can be longer, lasting more than a month.

2. The degree of water control also affects the number of flowers. It cannot leave water, and fertilizer also needs water to dissolve and transport. If it lacks water, the flowers will fall off easily.

3. It is relatively cold in December, but as long as the temperature is not lower than 5 degrees, the flowers will slowly bloom. So you need to adjust the temperature to be higher than 5℃.
