How long does it take for succulents to be exposed to the sun after being potted?

1. How long to sunbathe after potting

There is no exact time for how long succulents can be exposed to the sun after being potted, and it cannot be generalized. It usually takes three to seven days until the plant adapts to the surrounding environment and the root system gradually becomes established. However, because the temperature is high in summer and the sunlight is too strong, it is generally not allowed to be taken out to the sun, as this will harm the plants. It can be placed indoors to receive scattered light, which can meet the growth needs. Like in the other three seasons, you can wait for about three to seven days to get exposure to sunlight. After the plants adapt to the environment, you can also get full sun exposure.

2. How to get sun

Within two or three days after potting, place it in a cool environment and ensure ventilation. Avoid direct sunlight during these days to wait for the plant to adapt. On the third or fourth day, when the plant has adapted a little, it can be moved to a window with weak scattered light or under the shade of a tree. The light intensity is weaker and will not cause harm to the plant. After about 7 days, you can increase the amount of sunlight a little bit every day, and slowly increase the amount of direct sunlight, but avoid direct exposure to the sun.
