Pinch off a branch and throw it into the soil, honeysuckle will crawl all over the balcony

Honeysuckle grows fast and is easy to grow. It has a fragrant scent when it blooms. The flowers are white at first and then gradually turn golden yellow. The flowers can be picked and made into tea, which can detoxify and reduce internal heat. Let’s first take a look at how honeysuckle is propagated by cuttings!

1. Cut a few branches

Choose woody branches, not too tender ones, with each section about 20 cm long. Place them in a cool and ventilated place for 1 day to allow the wound to heal.

2. Insert the branches into the soil

Mix garden soil and river sand, put it in a flowerpot, water it thoroughly, insert the branches into the soil, and place it in a ventilated and cool place. The soil should be kept moist during the cutting period. Generally, big white roots will grow in about 30 days, and new shoots will pop up!

3. Transplant into a large flowerpot

When transplanting, choose a flowerpot with a diameter of about 30 cm, first put broken bricks and tiles at the bottom of the pot, then cover it with rotted chicken manure, and then fill the pot with garden soil and river sand, water it thoroughly, plant the honeysuckle, and it will grow out of the pot!

4. Place it in a place with sufficient light for maintenance

Place the honeysuckle on a south balcony with sufficient sunlight, and water it when the soil in the pot is dry. Plus, there is already plenty of chicken manure at the bottom of the pot, so it would be strange if the honeysuckle doesn’t grow wildly. It will cover the entire balcony like it has been injected with chicken blood! It usually blooms in May, and if well grown it can bloom several times, until October!

How to make honeysuckle tea:

1. Pick flower buds in the early morning or in the morning

The honeysuckle buds that are about to open are best used for making tea. The best time to pick the buds is early in the morning or in the morning. If you pick too many buds and cannot make all of them in one go, you can dry them and store them.

2. Brew with boiling water

Take an appropriate amount of honeysuckle, either dried or fresh, put it in a cup, pour in hot water and brew it. It will be ready to drink in about 10 minutes! Whenever you feel like you have a sore throat, for example, you can drink a cup to relieve the symptoms!

Pinch a branch and throw it into the soil, the gardenia will bloom

Gardenia is very fragrant, with white flowers and green leaves. If you keep a pot of it at home, you can not only enjoy the flowers, but also use it to make tea. If you don’t have any flower lovers yet, you can go to your neighbor’s house to break off a few branches, and then you can grow a large pot of it by cuttings!

1. Cut strong branches

When propagating gardenias by cuttings, it is best to choose 1-2 year old branches. The branches should be free of diseases and insect pests and should be about 10 cm in length. Cut the branches at a 45-degree angle.

2. Soak in carbendazim solution for 30 minutes

Place the obliquely cut end of the branch in the carbendazim solution, soak for 30 minutes, take it out, and then dry it.

3. Insert the branches into the soil

Mix river sand and pine needle soil, put it in a pot, water it thoroughly, insert the branches, and put it in a ventilated and cool place. When the temperature is around 15 degrees, it will generally take root in 1-2 months, and new buds will pop out!

4. Transplant into pots

Find a large flowerpot, mix pine needle soil, cake fertilizer and garden soil and put it in the pot, plant the rooted branches, water them thoroughly, and place them in a sunny place, but not in the scorching sun. The leaves of gardenia are growing rapidly and are glowing green! Gardenias usually bloom from May to October!

How to make gardenia tea:

1. Pick the flowers and dry them

When making tea with gardenias, it is best to choose flowers that have just bloomed and put them in the oven to dry, or dry them before making tea. Do not use fresh ones directly to prevent adverse reactions.

2. Add a spoon of honey for a more delicious taste

First, use boiling water to brew gardenia. After a while, when the water temperature drops to about 40 degrees, add a few spoons of honey. It is sweet and delicious, and your skin will become better after drinking it. If you have a cough or phlegm, drinking a cup can help relieve the cough and reduce phlegm!
