How to root mountain roses

How to root mountain roses

1. Growth habits

It likes cool and bright places, does not like stagnant water, hates stuffiness, and is not picky about the soil. Generally, it can grow well by adding a little fertilizer to the soil.

2. How to promote hair roots

If it is a newly bought seedling, check whether its outer leaves are dry. It is best to remove the yellow and dry leaves, otherwise they will easily rot after planting. Then dry it in the sun for two to three days before planting it in the soil.

You can prepare the flower soil yourself. Wrap some granular fertilizer in the ash from burning grass and add some soil to make very good flower soil. Don't water it after planting. Just water it once a month.

Don't turn it over when you have nothing to do, and don't always think about its roots, otherwise its roots will be injured and its future growth will be affected. Put it in a windy area, and it will soon grow roots after a period of time. It will temporarily stop growing and go into hibernation in the summer, so it will not take root at this time of year. It will only take root successfully when the weather gets cooler in the autumn.

3. Notes

1. Choose breathable soil and a pot with holes for it, so that it has a greater chance of survival.

2. You can also add some stones at the bottom of the pot to facilitate drainage, and then add soil into it.

3. It is easy to be damaged during transportation, so we should not water it when we just purchase it, otherwise it will easily be infected with bacteria. Wait three to five days before watering it, then put it in a cool, windy place, away from the sun.

4. Except in summer, it can be exposed to the sun at other times. If there is insufficient light, it will only grow leaves. If it is deprived of light for a long time, its leaves will grow very few, very long, and bend downward, but they will be very thin and will most likely die. You need to create a ventilated and breathable environment for it, otherwise the roots will easily rot and the leaves will turn black.
