Can I spray water when the azalea is in bloom?

Can I spray water when the azalea is in bloom?

1. Is it possible?

When it is in bloom, you cannot spray water down from the crown of the tree. However, it still has a great demand for water, but we need to meet its requirements by watering rather than spraying.

2. Things to note during flowering period

(1) Water: Of course, the most important thing is water. This is because this type of plant generally has a large number of flowers and requires a relatively large amount of water. If the water supply is insufficient, then even if it blooms, the petals will droop, or the color of their edges will fade and then turn dark brown, and the ornamental effect will be very poor. Therefore, during the entire flowering stage, the potting soil should generally be kept in a relatively moist state, and the frequency should generally be controlled at once every two or three days. In addition, it is also important to note that when watering, be careful to prevent water from splashing onto the center of the flower, otherwise its blooming period will be shortened or it will rot. Also, the water temperature should be close to room temperature. Also pay attention to the time. Do not water in the morning or evening. It is best to water between around 10 am and 4 pm.

(2) Placement: During the flowering period, it is best to place it next to a window, or in a place close to a window. These places have better ventilation and can receive some scattered light.

(3) Fertilization: Do not apply fertilizer during the flowering period, but you can use some afterwards.

(4) Temperature: Keep the temperature around 20 degrees, not too low. Likewise, too high is not good either, and it is best not to exceed thirty degrees.
