How to grow Clivia with eggs

How to grow Clivia with eggs

1. Why use eggs to raise

We all know that eggs are rich in nutrients. If you place egg white or eggshell on top of the soil in the pot, it can provide the plants with sufficient nutrients, especially trace elements. Eggshells can even be used in place of bone meal.

2. Specific methods

(1) The first method is to collect the egg liquid, seal it, and allow it to fully ferment. After fermentation, take out the relatively clear liquid on the top and add enough water. Generally speaking, the ratio of egg liquid to water should be controlled at one to ten. After mixing them evenly, you can pour them into the potting soil.

(2) Also, water used to boil eggs can be used for watering plants. This liquid is easier to absorb than egg liquid because egg liquid basically contains very large protein molecules that are not easy to absorb. In comparison, the water used to boil eggs is easier to absorb.

(3) In addition, the remaining egg shells should not be wasted. They can be placed directly on the soil. After they rot, they can also provide some nutrients.

3. Notes

(1) First of all, it is not advisable to directly water the soil with egg liquid. This is because, no matter what kind of nutrients the plants absorb, they must go through the medium of water. In other words, the nutrients must be dissolved in water before they can be absorbed by the plants. Otherwise, the large protein molecules in the egg liquid will not be absorbed by the roots of the plant.

(2) In addition, when pouring the liquid onto the soil, be sure to pour it slowly and avoid splashing too much liquid onto the leaves of the plant.
