Can Kalanchoe cuttings survive?

Can Kalanchoe cuttings survive?

1. Can you survive?

Kalanchoe can survive by taking cuttings, and the chance of survival is very high. For this plant, the method of cutting propagation is more common and relatively easy. However, you should choose the right time to do it. May to June in spring and September to October in autumn are the best.

2. Cutting method

1. Branch cuttings: Prepare the substrate to be used in advance, cut branches that are in good growth condition and have no insect pests, and leave the branches for two days after cutting them. A few leaves should be retained on the branches, and then carefully inserted into the soil, but do not let its leaves be buried in the soil. The soil should be watered thoroughly after cuttings.

2. Stem cuttings: Cuttings require mature fleshy stems. The length does not need to be too long, about 5-6cm will be enough. Prepare a suitable substrate, plant the cuttings in it and cover it with a film, then place it at around 15-20℃.

3. Top bud cutting: This is also a very common method. Use the top branches with better growth, which should have at least 4 leaves on them. The cut site must be dried before cutting. Finally, insert it into the substrate, pour some water on it, place it in a semi-shaded environment and wait for it to take root.
