How to propagate golden leaf sedum

How to propagate golden leaf sedum

1. Seed propagation

If this plant is propagated in this way, it is generally chosen on rainy or cloudy days. We can prepare a seedbed, which generally needs to be located in a relatively flat place and the soil must be relatively loose. After wetting the soil, we can start sowing.

Cut the stems and leaves with more vigorous growth into small pieces of 3 to 4 cm in length, and then spread them evenly on the prepared seedbed. The spacing between the stems and leaves for sowing seeds should reach a width of 1 cm, and then a fine layer of soil can be covered on them. Finally, you can spray water on it and keep the soil at a certain humidity. After about a week, it will grow roots and then you can start daily management.

2. Cutting propagation

If this plant is propagated by cuttings, summer or autumn is the best time to do so. When choosing a seedbed for cuttings, it is generally chosen in a place with relatively flat terrain, and the soil must be loose. Then we can water the soil, use a rake to evenly mix the water and soil, and then make grooves with a width of 10 to 15 cm between them. Then use scissors to cut the stems and leaves that grow more vigorously into small sections at a height of 10 cm.

Insert the cut stems and leaves into the ditch and cover them with soil, about 3 to 4 centimeters deep. After leveling the soil, you can irrigate it with plenty of water. You should irrigate it every three days, about 2 to 3 times will be enough.

3. Division propagation

If this plant is to be divided, its leaves should be cut into 6 to 7 cm long segments, then evenly scattered on the soil, and the surface of the soil should be gently rakeed so that its stem nodes can be buried in the soil, and finally spray water on it twice.
