1. How to bloom

1. Appropriate light: Hoya is a short-day plant. The characteristic of this type of plant is that too long light exposure will affect flowering. If you want to promote flowering, you must ensure that it receives about 3-4 hours of light a day. At the same time, since the plant cannot tolerate strong light, it is necessary to avoid the noon period and receive oblique light in the morning or evening.

2. Suitable temperature: Hoya is suitable for growing in warm places. The temperature should be kept between 20-25℃, so that the plant develops faster and is more conducive to flowering. If the temperature is high, you need to spray water around to cool it down by absorbing heat through water evaporation. At the same time, maintain good ventilation to prevent bacterial growth.

3. Loose soil: Ball orchid likes soil that is breathable and well-drained. The roots can breathe smoothly and naturally absorb water and nutrients better, allowing the flowers to bloom as soon as possible. Prepare potting soil with peat soil, sand and vermiculite, and add an appropriate amount of superphosphate as base fertilizer. You can also use leaf mold mixed with coarse sand as the substrate.

4. Appropriate amount of water and fertilizer: During the growth process of Hoya, the soil must be kept moist, but if you want to promote flowering, you need to extend the watering interval. In addition, you should add some phosphorus and potassium fertilizers to promote the blooming of flowers. Normally, do not apply too much nitrogen fertilizer, otherwise it will cause the plant to grow too tall.

2. Post-flowering treatment

It is quite normal for Hoya to bloom. The flowers are very ornamental and look very beautiful. After flowering, continue to provide sufficient light and control the amount of watering. Too much water can easily cause the buds to fall off. After the flowers fade, they need to be pruned in time to prevent further consumption of nutrients.
