The propagation method of five-leaf brocade

The propagation method of five-leaf brocade

1. Seeding method

1. Seed treatment

Harvest its seeds in time, then remove the remaining skin and flesh, wash them in water and dry them. Next, place them in moist sandy soil and store them for a winter (pay attention to the low temperature). This is the germination step.

2. Sowing time

After collecting the seeds, they can be sown around March of the following year.

3. Sowing site treatment

After choosing a spot for sowing, level it, cover it with a layer of loose humus soil, and then water it thoroughly.

4. Specific methods

First, take out the seeds and soak them in warm water at 45 degrees for two days. Sow the seeds mixed with sand and cover with a layer of plastic film to keep them warm and moist. By early May, seedlings will begin to grow. The success rate of seed propagation is relatively high, reaching more than 80%.

2. Cutting method

1. Material selection

Choose strong stems that are about 20 to 30 centimeters long. You can also choose young branches, make sure they have leaves.

2. Time selection

Summer or autumn is fine. Note that it is best to choose young branches in summer.

3. Specific steps

If you choose the first material, you can insert it directly into the substrate and keep it moist. If it is the second material, then it needs shade and watering, and new branches will grow soon.

3. Layering method

We can use the "wave-like" layering method, which can be carried out in the rainy season, that is, in damp, cloudless weather, so that the chances of survival are high. If it is autumn, you can separate them for transplanting and then plant them the next year.
