How to plant black orchid seeds

Selecting the matrix

There has always been a tradition in my country of growing orchids, which is that the planting medium is generally chosen from the humus soil of its origin, which is the soil that the locals call "orchid mud". This is because this type of soil is rich in nutrients and is loose and non-sticky. In addition, because it is slightly acidic, it is also more suitable for growing Mo Lan. However, this kind of soil is difficult to obtain in the northern provinces, so we can choose leaf mold, peat soil, slag and river sand, and mix them evenly in the ratio of two to one, one to one, and one to one.

Selecting a seed

The method of seed selection is relatively simple, and there are no major requirements. Just make sure they are as large as possible and not bitten by insects.

Select container

This step is also very critical. You should choose a container with good drainage. Otherwise, if the water in the potting soil is not drained out in time, the roots of the plant will rot. Therefore, we should choose one with holes at the bottom to facilitate drainage.

Official sowing

Before planting, cover the drainage holes at the bottom of the container with some broken tiles and lay down a layer of window screen. Then, put in some of the substrate we prepared, and then start sowing the seeds. After spreading, fill in some of the substrate. After that, we need to use the bottom seepage method to soak the soil in the pot.

Post-management

The first is sunlight. During this period, you can avoid light and put it in a shady place. Another thing is the temperature, which must not be too low. Generally speaking, it is better to control it within the range of 18 to 25 degrees. Then there is water, which is also very important and cannot be lacking.
